Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

This is a visa for skilled nominated by a state or territory government to dwell and do jobs in regional Australia.

Basic Eligibility Criteria: –

Applicant needs to be invited to apply for this visa
Applicant must be nominated to apply by a state or territory government agency or must be sponsored by an eligible relative
Applicant must satisfy the points test
You need to have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list
You must have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa- Main Applicant

It is a provisional visa and is for skilled workers who want to reside and do jobs in regional Australia.

This visa permits you: –

Reside in Australia for 5 years from the date of grant of the visa
Dwell, do the job, and entitled to enroll in a study course in a designated regional area of Australia
travel to and from Australia as many times as you want, while the visa is valid
If eligible, apply for permanent residence, through (Subclass 191) (Skilled Regional )Visa which commences on 16 November 2022.

Eligibility Criteria: –

Applicant needs to be invited to apply for this visa
Applicant must be nominated to apply by a state or territory government agency or must be sponsored by an eligible relative
Obligations: You and your family members must obey all Australian laws.
Applicant must satisfy the points test. You must be able to score 65 points or more.
You need to have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list
You must have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation: for that, you will need to provide a copy of this skills assessment with your application
Applicant must meet the Health and Character needs.
Family members, applying for the visa must qualify health and character requirements of the Australian Government.
Family members, even if not migrating to Australia, might also have to qualify for health and character requirements.
Australian Values Statement: – You must sign the Australian values statement, which assures that you will abide by all Australian laws and will respect their way of living.
Have paid Outstanding debt (if any) to the Australian Government: –If the applicant or any family member of the applicant owes any debt to the Australian Government, it must be paid back

Not be eligible: – In case of Previous Cancelled Visa.

Family members can be added to the application too
Family members can be included at the time of submission of your application
Family members, applying for the visa must qualify health and character requirements of the Australian Government.
If the applicant’s partner or dependent children are not included in this application, he/she needs to give the reason.
Family members, even if not migrating to Australia, might also have to qualify for health and character requirements.
A dependent child must be added after submission of the application but before a decision is made.

Cost: –

For the main Applicant, the visa cost is AUD4,045.
Additional charges are there for other family applicants applying.
Also, applications can’t be processed if correct visa application charges are not paid.
Family members having age 18 years or above need to pay Second Installment, those who:
Applies with the applicant for this visa.
Has less than Functional English.
The second installment cost is AUD4,890.
Pay the second installment only when asked to. It is charged only if a visa is going to be granted.
Other costs include are those of health checks, police certificates, and biometrics.

Places to Apply From: –

You must be inside or outside Australia when you apply and during the decision of the visa, but not in immigration clearance.
If you apply in Australia, you must hold:
a substantive visa or
a Subclass 010 Bridging A visa,
a Subclass 020 Bridging B visa or
a Subclass 030 Bridging C visa,
otherwise, your application will not be valid.

Visa Label: – Your visa will be digitally linked to your passport so you won’t get a label in your passport.

Conditions for Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa- Main Applicant

8515- Not marry or enter into a de facto relationship before entering into Australia, otherwise the applicant’s visa might get canceled.
8578-Need to notify if applicant’s passport or contact detail changes.
8579-Dwell, study and work in a designated regional area.
8580-Give evidence of applicant’s life, study, or address of working place if requested.
8581-Attend an interview if asked in a letter.
